Sign Ordinance and Sign Ordinance Amendment

An ordinance establishing Municipal Civil Infraction Violations, enforcement procedures, and providing general penalties and sanctions for violations of Township Ordinances. 

An ordinance to provide a procedure for the division of land located within the Township of Marlette pursuant to the requirements of Public Act 591 of 1996, being the Michigan Land Division Act.

An ordinance to regulate the design, construction, inspection, approval and maintenance of private roads within the Township. 

An ordinance to require cleanup of hazardous materials by responsible parties and to require reimbursement for clean up by the Township or its agents.

An ordinance to prohibit exotic animals and to regulate the possession, care and control of dogs within the Township and to provide penalties for violations. 

2011 Noxious Weeds - Ordinance No.: 2011-3

An Ordinance adopted pursuant to 1941 PA 359, as amended, and 1945 PA 246, as amended, to secure the public health, safety and welfare of the residents and property owners of the Township of Marlette, Sanilac County, Michigan, by the control, regulation and eradication of certain weeds and growth within the Township; to provide penalties for the violation thereof; and to repeal all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith. 

An ordinance to regulate the use of land within the Township of Marlette, Sanilac County, Michigan in accordance with the provisions of the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act, being Public Act 110 of the Public Acts of 2006, as amended. **REFER to 2016 Zoning Ordinance Amendment 200.1 below for changes to amendments to this Ordinance.**

An ordinance to protect public health, safety and welfare by providing for the control of fires which may threaten life and property; to charge a fee to persons who allow for fires to burn out of control; to prohibit the turning in of false fire alarms; to charge a fee to persons turning in a false fire alarm; to authorize the setting of fees for fire protection services; to authorize the collection of fire run fees from the owners of property protected by the fire run; to assess the amount of delinquent fire run fees to the property tax roll; and to repeal the prior fire protection ordinance.  

An ordinance to protect the public health, safety, and general welfare by eliminating blight within Marlette Township; to define and prohibit blight; to assess costs for blight removal; and to provide penalties for violations. 

An ordinance to amend the Marlette Township Zoning Ordinance, being Ordinance No. 200, adopted on the 12th day of November, 2013 to provide for regulation of off-site signs, MET Towers and Wind Energy Conversion Systems and Temporary Dwellings. Amended after Referendum Vote. May 9, 2017

2017 Zoning Ordinance Amendment - Solar Energy Facilities 200.2

An Ordinance to amend the Marlette Township Zoning Ordinance, being Ordinance No. 200, to provide regulation for the operation and maintenance of exempt solar panels and solar energy facilities in the Township. 

Cemetery Ordinance No. 2018-01

An ordinance to protect the public health, safety and general welfare by establishing regulations relating to the operation, control, maintenance and management of cemeteries owned, controlled or operated by the Township of Marlette, in Sanilac County, Michigan; to provide penalties for the violation of said ordinance, and to repeal all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict therewith. 

Marijuana Establishments "OPT OUT" Ordinance No. 01-2019

An ordinance adopted pursuant to Section 6.1 of the Michigan regulation and Taxation of Marijuana Act, to completely prohibit marijuana establishments within the boundaries of Marlette Township.
